An excerpt from Taanakh Region a documentary produced by the Israeli Film Service in collaboration with the Jewish Agencys Settlement Department.
Shlomo Bitton, a Jew who immigrated from Morocco, tells about his difficulties as a farmer in the Taanakh Region in Israels Jezreel Valley: the work is very hard. We work days and nights, and there is no profit in farming. Bitton says, his family back in Marrocco had also worked in agriculture, but they had a couple of mules and wooden plows, rather than tractors.
