A film produced by the Hasbarah Centrer and the Institute for Social Security. One leg of Shimshon the longshoreman became damaged during work. The damage forces him to take works that he doesn’t find manly, and he is drawn into a mental crisis that expresses itself in aggression and social isolation. A Social Security advisor sends Shimshon to a psycho-technical evaluation, and eventually to a vocational formation in the fields of welding and soldering. Shimshon returns to the port, but neither his colleagues nor the management show great enthusiasm at receiving him there. The film concludes with a message to employers: It is your responsibility to enable people like Shimshon to return to work, otherwise they risk becoming unemployed and despaired.
