An informational film produced by Histadrut about the settlement of Dimona.
The trees planted in the desert soil are yet to grow, but a 15 thousand residents’ town has already developed near them. Six years after the establishment of Dimona, it rapidly expands to accommodate more and more residents: new immigrants sent to populate the Negev Desert, whether they liked it or not. The short film presents the town’s laborers, working in nearby plants, the new immigrants’ children, some of whom do not speak Hebrew, and the local nightlife.
