A video produced by the Israeli Film Service in collaboration with the Advisor on Arab affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office.
1969 saw a series of terror attacks on Israeli cities. Explosive charges laid in Haifa and a car bomb detonated in Acre brought the tensions between the Arab and Jewish citizens of Israel to a breaking point. Against the background of the rocky relationship between the two groups, this video tries to illustrate the possibility of coexistence. Via interviews with Israeli Arabs and their Jewish coworkers, this video sends an optimistic message: those who carry out the attacks are a minority, which does not represent the good relations that prevail between the communities at street level.
