An excerpt from a documentary film by Tzvi Shissel and Boaz Davidson, produced by the Anti-Drugs’ Inter-Ministerial Committee and the Information Center (Hasbara), intended to warn youth against drug abuse. The film offers an intimate portrait of Shmuel Adi, known as Beautiful Jimmy, a 29-year-old man who lives in Tel Aviv and is addicted to opium and other drugs. In his unique language reveals Jimmy his difficulties as an addict, and his sense of loneliness imposed by his addiction. In the clip, Jimmy describes how he was exposed to opium when he arrived in Eilat, where he met young American Beatniks who introduced him to the drug and taught him to inject it. Shalom Hanochs song Yeladim Shel Hachaim is featured in the soundtrack and was written specifically for the film (Producer: Tzvi Shissel, director and screenwriter: Boaz Davidson, cinematography: Adam Greenberg, Nurith Aviv, Alex Benraf, narrator: Yehonatan Geffen, soundtrack: Shalom Hanoch).
