A film which highlights impressions and scenic episodes of building the city Arad in the Negev desert during 1963. The film reviews the construction work in the new city with its buildings, new roads and infrastructure development in the desert, as well as drilling work in search of oil wells, after the recent discovery several years earlier of the Negev 3 oil well near Kibbutz Negba. The film is sparse in plot and emphasizes the visual aspect and beauty of the desert in black and white cinematography.
