An excerpt from In the Land of the Negev, an Israeli Film Service documentary. Ancient cisterns bear testimony to the efforts of Nabataean tribes to store rainwater in the desert. The modern day residents of the Negev produce water by drilling and desalination. The water is used to irrigate fields in the Arabah. The excerpt includes footage of Ein Avdat spring and a flood in one of the Negevs valleys.
