An excerpt from Fresh Water, a documentary produced by Histadrut about Israel’s water shortage and the efforts to solve it.
Settlements in the Negev still depend on tankers to supply water to men and fields alike. To solve the water issue of the desert settlements, Mekorot builds a pipeline to diverge water from the Yarkon River to the Negev. The pipes are produced by Yuval Gads factory in Ashkelon and laid in a ditch.
