A film produced by the Israeli Film Service which examines the state of the Jewish community in Argentina at the end of the 1970’s, and the tension between leading a Jewish life in Argentina and the possibility of immigrating to Israel. The film illustrates the Jewish identity in Argentina through conversations with interviewees such as a teacher of Yiddish literature, a journalist who immigrated to Israel but returned to Argentina, and public activists, and thus emerges a diverse portrait of Jewish identity alongside a national identity in the portrait of a community. The film reviews the private Jewish education system in Buenos Aires, the thriving cultural and social activities promoted by the AMIA Jewish Community Center, alongside the Hebraica country club, and visits the old Jewish town of Moisés Ville.
