A film produced by the JDC for the United Jewish Appeal organization, with the aim of raising money for the restoration of Kibbutz Negba and the other settlements that were damaged in the War of Independence. The plot of the film is built on the contrast between the diplomats’ debates in the UN assembly during the war, and the people of Negba who were at the heart of the war and for whom it wasn’t a diplomatic question but rather about the simple need to survive. This message is accompanied by a depiction of daily life in Kibbutz Negba during the war.
