A documentary film produced by Victor Vicas, consisting of footage from “Carmel Newsreel”.
After two thousand years of diaspora, the day finally came when the State of Israel was established in May 1948. However, following its establishment, the small country was subjected to many attacks from its enemies, which caused great harm and destruction.
The film reflects the state’s journey through its initial years, showcasing its inspiring efforts to overcome various difficulties and fulfill its vision of providing a home for every Jew by creating an ingathering of exiles of all Jewish people.
It highlights the establishment of major political and social institutions and employment centers, the transformation of the desert into a blooming land, and the successful integration of masses of new immigrants.
