A torch race and menorah lighting at Yad Chaim Weizmann. Maccabi Hatzair youth movement members climb a hill near the Maccabean Graves in the Ben Shemen Forest. The Israeli flag is raised on a mast and a torch is delivered to the first runner. The torch race begins, a police car escorts the runners who pass the torch between them until reaching Rehovot. The last runner enters the Chaim Weizmann Memorial. Vera Weizman lights a menorah with a candle lit by the torch.
