The tenth anniversary for the I.D.F.s establishment. Archival footage of IDF soldiers activities during the Sinai War, paratroopers parachuting in the desert; military officers during a briefing; three infantry soldiers are walking down the streets of Gaza. Archival materials from the IDFs first inauguration ceremony, first Chief of Staff Yaakov Dori speaking to a group of soldiers. An IDF parade from the time of the founding years of the state of Israel, with soldiers and very basic gear. Advanced tanks participate in the State of Israels Ninth Independence Day parade. Fighter ships sailing in the Gulf of Eilat, tanks in the Sinai desert, a fighter plane lands on an airstrip. A hand flips through the pages of a new photo book published by Yedioth Ahronoth, with a retrospective of the last decade of the IDFs.
