An event honoring the thirty-fifth anniversary of the First Judaeans Jewish battalion in the Avihayil settlement, established by Jewish battalion veterans. A large audience is present, including dignitaries British Ambassador to Israel Sir Francis Evans and President Yitzhak Ben Zvi. The president, a former First Judaeans battalion private, exchanges handshakes with Jewish Legion veterans. The First Judaeans battalion flag is raised. Ceremony participants stand in memory of fallen Jewish Legion soldiers. Children and grandchildren of Jewish Battalion soldiers present a symbolic gift to President Ben Zvi, and battalion veterans shake his hand. Guests attend the Battalions Grove planting ceremony. The president plants the first tree.
