Newspapers announce that six months have passed since the implementation of the new financial plan by Prime Minister David Ben Gurion, meant to curb inflation. Various citizens express their reaction to the plan: a young couple expresses how they may now rent an apartment with the lowered rents; a taxi driver says his income has decreased due to the new tendency for frugality; new immigrants from the Rehovot transition camp protest their lack of housing despite the new program; an agricultural worker expresses his willingness to work in any agricultural field. Daily activity at a convenience store, followed by a merchant from Lillienblum Street in Tel Aviv complaining that people buy fewer luxuries, such as chocolate. A child is presented saying nothing in the matter.
