From the life of a Yemenite Jew in Palestine. Workers in a tile factory pour the liquid into molds inserted into the oven and then extract and stack the hardened tiles. Two women sit on the floor and embroider. Jewelers create pomegranates for Torah scrolls. A child closes crates of citrus fruit. Yemeni men queue at one of the employment offices and talk to the officials. Yemeni Children School. Students write in notebooks and read from their books, one of the children standing at the board and explaining to the other students about the map of the Land of Israel. A Yemenite teacher teaches a traditional Torah lesson to a group of small children sitting on the ground. The children learn about the Hebrew letters. Older children learn Torah in a classroom. A group of men studies Torah in the synagogue. Children march in sports uniforms. A group of women cleaning workers waits for employers near the market. A woman makes falafel in a street stall. A large boat transports immigrants from Yemen from the ship to the port. The immigrants line up and wait for their turn to register with the Jewish Agency officials. The immigrants leave the port area and have a first meal in Palestine.
