How did the Negev, a barren and arid desert area, transform into a thriving hub of groundbreaking agriculture? Through close collaboration between determined farmers and scientists from Ben Gurion University and the Institute for Desert Research, Negev communities have succeeded in cultivating a variety of fruits and vegetables using a range of innovative techniques. The film showcases the developments that enable efficient farming in the Negev, such as advanced irrigation systems, crop breeding and grafting, and the use of brackish water, accompanied by explanations and interviews with researchers Dov Pasternak, Amos Richmond, and Yosef Mizrahi.
