Footage from the annual Salute to Israel Parade along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York. The parade is held each year to demonstrate Jewish-American solidarity for Israel. In the festive and colorful march, bands and representatives from various Jewish groups from New York and its surroundings participate: Holocaust survivors, veterans of the War of Independence, students from Jewish schools, synagogues, youth groups, representatives from Hillel and other organizations, culminating at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Riverside Park and the Firefighters Memorial.
