“When we first arrived here, there wasn’t even a bird in sight. Nevertheless, we were visited by several night hawks”. In this manner the first settlers of the workers’ moshav “Patish” describe the hardships they faced during the moshav’s first years. The moshav’s first generations, mostly Olim from Persia and Kurdistan, handled harsh weather and brutal attacks of the Fedayeen. This short film depicts a day in the Moshav’s life, in addition to the dedication ceremony of the Moshav’s synagogue during its eighteenth year. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Prime Minister at the time, Levy Eshkol, and showcased, to the delight of the audience, various dance groups.
