A silent documentary film without audio that tells the story of Kibbutz Ein Gev.
The film opens with footage of the peaceful and pastoral kibbutz, located at the foot of the Golan Heights on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. It then presents the dramatic founding moment of the kibbutz during the Arab Revolt, as part of the “Tower and Stockade” plan for Jewish settlement in Mandatory Palestine. The scenes show numerous settlers arriving well-equipped, swiftly establishing the settlement, and laying its foundations, including the construction of a tower and stockade.
The second part of the film focuses on daily life in the kibbutz: children playing in defensive trenches, guards patrolling around the fences, and fishermen engaged in fishing in the Sea of Galilee.
