This documentary movie was produced by the American Zionist Youth Foundation and shows the Events of the Kippur war, and how it affected American Jews. The movie provides information on the historical events of the Yom Kippur War, while the emphasis of the movie is on the American Jewish reaction to the war. Many young Jews talked about the shock they experienced and about their will to help in any way possible. Many Jews took part in protests in support of Israel around the USA, particularly on university campuses, as well as donating blood and explaining Israel’s position on the conflict. The American Zionist Youth Foundation coordinated many volunteers who came to Israel to volunteer at their own expense. One of the volunteers said: “Maybe Just being there will help them, it will make me feel better. Not really sure what I can do but I just know this is a place for me to be”.
