An explanatory film by the Palestine Foundation Fund (Keren Hayesod), produced by Yaacov Ben-Dov.
Keren Hayesod Foundation was established in 1920, aimed to finance immigration and settlement in the Land of Israel.
The film showcases what new pioneers who arrive in the promised land would meet, what the employment opportunities would be, the landscapes of the country, and highlights the significance of their activity for future generations.
A group of pioneers explores different locations in the Land of Israel. They meet local people and visit places that demonstrate the efforts of developing the wilderness, constructing new settlements, and promoting agriculture. The pioneers tour cities, villages, farms, and factories, and witness the joy and satisfaction of the settlers.
The film includes rare documentation of places such as Rachel’s Tomb, the Tomb of Absalom, Kibbutz Degania, Kibbutz Ein Harod, and more.
