A fundraising film by the United Jewish Appeal.
The Jewish-American actor Eddie Cantor conveys in this short film a clear message to the American audience: The horrors of World War II, which has just ended, must not be forgotten. Cantor reminds his audience that the responsibility of the USA did not end after the war. Documentation of the plight of the displaced serves as evidence of the need for 170 million dollars to rehabilitate the survivors. “We helped give them life,” he concludes, “Now, let us make that life worth living.”
