“Kushnir’s Guide to Vacationing in Israel” – a road map for the family with a comedic emphasis, is a series produced by the Israel Film Service in 2002 under the direction of the actor and comedian Avi Kushnir with the target audience of the program are families with children. Each episode of the series is located in a different region with an emphasis on nature trips, history, cuisine, culture, and extreme sports for beginners. The current chapter is a journey in Western Galilee. It includes sailing in Tornado boats off the shores of Achziv, wiping hummus in Old Acre, a tour of Rosh Hankara, a ride on a children’s train along the route of the historic train from Rosh Hankara to Europe, eating smoked meat dinner, and spending the night in a wooden cabin in the village of Goren with a magical view of the Wadi. A visit to the ancient synagogue in Paki’in under the guidance of Mazel Zinati, the last Jewish woman in Paki’in, with a cold lemonade and a game of five stones on the roof of her house in Paki’in. One of the trip’s highlights is a tour of the Eitan Wertheimer collection for antique cars in Tefen, with the first Susita Car manufactured in Israel.
