An El Al plane leaves for Israel carrying the bodies of 58 victims from different religions and nationalities who were killed in the crash, and will be buried in a mass grave in Israel. A large crowd gathers on the streets of Tel Aviv near the Knesset Square (Herbert Samuel) to pay respects to the coffins transported on vehicles. The funeral procession ends in the Kiryat Shaul Cemetery, where a state burial ceremony is held and the coffins of the victims are laid in a mass grave at the cemetery.
