Director Ofra Abramov’s short – a film adaptation of Yehoshua Kenaz’s novel, The Great Woman of the Dreams – is set in a South Tel Aviv block of flats and chronicles a cruel and violent relationship between an eccentric blind woman and her neighbours. Through the grim, decadent reality and the film heroine’s loneliness, the director makes a poignant, existential statement about the forces running our world.
