Director Ilan Moshenson’s screwball comedy follows the story of Noga Narkis (Ossi Hillel), a flautist who, at the start of the film, learns that she is dying. However, her terminal prognosis is in fact no more than a woeful mistake, caused by a small mayonnaise smudge left by the doctor’s secretary on Narkis’s head CT. The protagonist who, obviously, is unaware of this grave error, leaves the clinic and lies down on the road, hoping to be run over – but to no avail.
Later, Noga arrives at a hotel with the intention of jumping off the rooftop, but is stopped by Naftali, a guest from the neighbouring room. Hot on her heels is Yanil (Dalik Wollinitz) who also shows up at the hotel. He is a private detective hired by Noga’s stepmum in an effort to locate her late husband’s funds. The plot further thickens as, bit by bit, an assortment of oddballs and quirky characters turn up at the hotel – including the Tourism Minister, a kosher kitchen supervisor, and a terrorist looking for a place to plant a bomb.
