Director Akiva Barkin’s graduation project from the Rome Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (The Experimental Film Centre or Italian National Film School) which represented the institution at a variety of festivals in Italy and Russia, winning major praise, is a nightmarish Kafkaesque drama about a man visiting the woman he loves in a mental institution, and his futile attempts at communicating with her.
