A big screen adventure for children and the whole family in the tradition of classic American adventure and coming-of-age films (a-la The Goonies), set in the harsh reality of Israel’s industrial working-class towns, and the aftermath of the mass wave of Jewish immigration from the Former Soviet Union. Four young social pariahs – 10-year-old Alicia who has paranormal abilities; Lev, her overgrown, mentally-disabled older brother; Erez, whose father died in the war; and Leor, a shunned kibbutz boy – all embark on a coming-of-age journey after Alicia hears someone crying out for help. Little Heroes won the Golden Slipper award for Best Feature Film for Children at the Zlín International Film Festival for Children and Youth in the Czech Republic. It was also featured at the Jerusalem Film Festival and a range of international film festivals.
