Arnon Zadok’s film, based on a script by Assi Dayan, follows the story of Uri – a successful solicitor living with PTSD which he suffered as a reservist during a military operation. All the old baggage comes rushing back to the surface when he has to give evidence at a court martial against his friend and commanding officer who is accused of having shot militants who had already surrendered, and a Palestinian boy. Uri’s wife, a social worker who is looking after residents on skid row is raped by members of the local ruling gang and later, takes her own life. Uri decides to take the law into his own hands and sets out to avenge her death. In the course of the trial, military and personal trauma end up intertwined.
