1971
  • Rate
About 23,000 people participate in the three-day march departing from Beit El and ending in Jerusalem. The marchers are soldiers, union members, new immigrants, and students including delegations from the Technion, the Tel Hashomer School of Nursing, the Red Cross, the country of Japan, Bank Leumi, El Al, and Polgat. Some of the tired participants rest on the side of the road, and those who continue marching sing together to raise morale.
