Auschwitz survivors, Bruno and Sarah are trying to start a new life. They move to a nascent Israel and settle in late 1940s Jerusalem where they set out to rebuild their lives and their love. Reality however takes a dark turn when several accounts of Bruno having allegedly been a sadistic prisoner block head in Auschwitz begin to emerge – and he finds himself having to defend his good name and prove his innocence. Testimonials are heard in the form of monologues delivered by the cast who are either looking directly into the camera or standing next to it. The film won the Jury Prize at the Jerusalem Film Festival, and the Audience Choice Award at the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival (WJFF).
