Prime Minister and Defense Minister Levi Eshkol visits France. Upon his departure at the Lod Airport, Eshkol inspects a guard of honor, and ministers bid him farewell. On his landing at the airport in France, he is greeted at a formal reception. Eshkol shakes hands with French military personnel, converses with them, and speaks to the press. Afterward, Eshkol and his wife Miriam drive in a convoy to meet with French Prime Minister Georges Pompidou at the Hôtel de Matignon. Eshkol converses with his French counterpart and with French Foreign Minister Maurice Couve de Murville.
