Ahead of the opening ceremony of the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv, invitees from abroad arrive at Lod airport, including a Hilton family member. The ceremony opens with greetings, and the ribbon is cut by Miriam Eshkol. The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Isser Yehuda Unterman, sets the mezuzah in the main entrance. A festive lunch is held in the hotels dining room in the presence of Prime Minister Levi Eshkol, Minister of Tourism Akiva Govrin and Mayor Mordechai Namir.
