Cornerstones Laying ceremonies are held in four new communities during the Galilee settlement festivities. Residents will move into the new houses built in the Moshavim Hazon, Zarit, Shtula, and Netua. The composition of the residents in these localities will be a combination of immigrants and Israeli-born citizens. Many guests attend the ceremonies, including Prime Minister and Defense Minister Levi Eshkol. In the evening, a festive rally is held in the Nahal outpost Biranit and dance groups of local residents perform and dance. The settlement project in the Galilee is conducted as part of a government program from 1963 to encourage settlement in the Galilee.
