The coffins of the founder of the Revisionist-Zionist movement Zeev Jabotinsky and his wife Joanna are brought to Israel for burial. On their way from New York, the coffins pause at an airport in France, where a ceremony is held in the presence of Prime Minister Levi Eshkol who is visiting the country. Afterward. the caskets land at Lod Airport. Knesset Members Menachem Begin and Yaakov Meridor carry the coffins and address the audience in a ceremony at the airport. Meridor lays Jabotinskys sword on his coffin. From there, the caskets are transported to the Knesset Square in Tel Aviv, and many mourners view their lying in state. Finally, the funeral convoy heads to Jerusalem and ends on Mount Herzl. President of Israel Zalman Shazar, ministers, Knesset members and Mayor Mordechai Ish Shalom pay their respects over the grave of the couple.
