An armored force of the IDF raided a base of Fatah terrorists and a military facility in Jordan, near the town of Al-Safi. 6 Fatah men and one Jordanian officer were killed in the battle, and two offroad vehicles and several weapons were confiscated. Against the background of the tension on the Israel-Jordan border, Prime Minister Golda Meir visits the settlements in the Jordan Valley and the Beit Se'an Valley.
