The Zionist General Council conference takes place in the International Convention Center, Jerusalem. The conference deals with the problems of budget, the policy and direction of the Zionist movement nowadays, and the situation of Jews in the Soviet Union. At the opening session of the conference speeches are delivered by Jacob Tsur, chairman of the Zionist General Council, as well as Minister of Education and Culture Abba Eban, and President of the World Jewish Congress Nahum Goldman.
