Yariv Mozer is a director and producer. A graduate of Tel Aviv University’s Department of Film and Television Studies, Mozer’s first foray into filmmaking landed him at Alma Productions where he was Head Producer, however in 2006, he decided to go solo and start his own production company – Mozer Films.
Mozer’s primary body of work is focused on documentary filmmaking, however in 2013, he wrote, directed, and even appeared in the narrative feature film, Snails in the Rain. The film was shown at countless festivals round the world, including the Montreal World Film Festival and TLVFest – The Tel Aviv International LGBT Film Festival.
Highlights of his producer credits include Monkey Business (Daniel Sivan and Oded Farber, 2006), Hummus Curry (Yoni Zigler and Noam Pinchas, 2006), The Talkbackers (Tzvika Binder, 2007), The House on Tabenkin Street (Liviu Carmely, 2008), and The Life and Death of Gotel Botel (Daniel Sivan, 2009).
Highlights of his directorial credits include My First War (2008), which was screened at festivals worldwide and received an honorable mention at the Docaviv Festival; Invisible Men (2012), which won awards at Docaviv and the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival; Ben-Gurion, Epilogue (2017), which won the Ophir Award for Best Documentary Film; The Red Book (2020); and We Will Dance Again (2024), which received the Doc Edge Festival Award in New Zealand.
Mozer also directed the documentary series The Devil’s Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes (2022) for the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, for which he won the Israeli Television Academy Award.
