Tali Shemesh is a director and documentary filmmaker. Shemesh has directed numerous films and exposés for a number of Israeli current affair shows, including critically-acclaimed, investigative reporting programme, Uvdah (‘fact’). In 2006, she directed the hugely-successful documentary, The Cemetery Club, which was subsequently featured in multiple festivals both locally and internationally, including the DocAviv International Documentary Film Festival and the Shanghai International Film Festival where it won top honours, taking home the Magnolia Award in the Best Asian Documentary category. In 2016, she co-directed Death in the Terminal with Asaf Sudri. The film won first prize at the prestigious Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, an Ophir award for Best Documentary, and an additional three awards at the DocAviv Festival.
