Liraz Charhi is an Israeli singer, stage and screen actor, and voice talent. Charhi, a graduate of the Beit Zvi School of the Performing Arts, got her big break when she was cast in Avi Nesher’s 2004 smash hit, Turn Left at the End of the World, playing Sarah – the Indian teen who has just moved to the small town where the film is a set – a role that earned her an Ophir Award nomination.
Charhi has also appeared on various Israeli theatre stages, including the Cameri, Haifa, and Beersheba theatres. Highlights of her stage credits include Oil City, Rembetiko, Flower of the Neighbourhood, and Guys and Dolls.
Highlights of her TV series credits include The Truck, The Champion, Sabri Maranan, Where Do you Live?, The Hood, and Tehran.
Highlights of her film credits include Revivre (Haim Bouzaglo, 2009), Fair Game (Doug Liman, 2010), A Late Quartet (Yaron Zilberman, 2012), and Acre Dreams (Daniel Wachsmann, 2018).
To date, Charhi has released four studio albums: the self-titled debut Liraz Charhi (2005), Rak Lecha Mutar (‘only you’re allowed) (2012), Naz (2017), and Zan (2020).
Charhi is married to actor Tom Avni.
