Keren Yedaya is an esteemed Israeli director and screenwriter whose films are renowned for their poignant social commentary. After directing three short films – Elinor (1993), Lulu (1998), and Underwear (2001) – Yedaya had her feature-length directorial debut with Or (My Treasure (2004), starring Dana Ivgy and the late Ronit Elkabetz. The film, at the heart of which is a teenage girl who is struggling to support her prostitute mother, was a colossal success and went on to win countless awards, including the Camera d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival, and the Best Film Award at the Jerusalem Film Festival. Yedaya later directed three additional feature films: Jaffa (2009), That Lovely Girl (2014), and Red Fields, based on the legendary rock opera by Israeli composers and singer-songwriters, Hillel Mittelpunkt, Ehud Banai, and Yossi Mar Haim.
