Adam Sanderson is a film and television director. Sanderson went to Tel Aviv’s Aleph High School of Arts where he met the likes of fellow creatives Tom Shoval, Michael Hanegbi, Joshua Simon, and Daniel Adar – and helped co-found The Baboon Project – a collective of young filmmakers of indie shorts. Sanderson also directed his share of adverts and music videos, including his award-winning video for Israeli theatrical rock and polka band, Habiluim’s single, Rubbish Truck (‘oto zevel’).
In 2010, Sanderson and Muli Segev co-directed This is Sodom which went on to become a huge box office hit, selling well over half a million tickets, domestically. The film also won two Ophir Awards for Best Art Direction, and Best Costume Design. In 2014, he wrote and directed the film, Funeral at Noon, based on a novel by Israeli author, Yeshayahu Koren. The film was subsequently shortlisted for the Haifa International Film Festival and the San Sebastián International Film Festival. In television, Sanderson directed all three seasons of the drama, Sirens.
Sanderson is the son of beloved Israeli musician, Danny Sanderson, and brother of stage and screen actor, Dina Sanderson.
