Dana Modan is a journalist, screenwriter, and actress. Modan started out as a journalist, writing for Israeli daily paper, Maariv. Her big acting break came when she was cast in the ‘90s hit series, Florentine. Her film credits include Birds in Neutral (Galit Eshkol and Eyal Shiray, 2006), Tzur Hadassim (Gideon Kolirin, 1999), and a 2006 cameo in Eytan Fox’s The Bubble, playing herself.
Modan has presented numerous TV programmes and in 2004, she created, wrote, produced, and starred in the award-winning and critically-acclaimed series, Love Hurts. In 2007 she teamed up with Savi Gabizon to create and co-write Lost and Found, which was later made into a TV series. In 2012, she created and wrote the series, Ananda, in which she also starred as the lead. Modan won Best Actress for her performance, and Best Screenplay at that year’s TV Academy Awards. In 2018, she created the series Kacha Ze (‘so it goes’) in which she also stars.
