A documentary marking The 25th anniversary of the state of Israel. In Baghdad, Jewish citizens accused of espionage are executed; in Syria, children are forced to salute the flag of a country that seeks their destruction; and in the Soviet Union, Jews are arrested and deported for being Zionists. 25 years after its founding, Israel is the safest place for Jews in the world. The film documents the challenges of immigration and absorption of new immigrants from the Soviet Union, the gaps between veteran and new immigrants, the IDF’s activities among youth, and a military rehabilitation program for prisoners that culminates in a swearing-in ceremony at Masada.
