What can a one-man faction achieve in the Knesset? Ahead of the eighth Knesset elections, the only representative of political party Meri (formerly: HaOlam HaZeh – Koah Hadash) in the Israeli parliament summarizes his achievements: proposing laws for a five-day workweek and civil marriage, fighting against the exemption of Yeshiva students from military service, revealing the Sapir Fund Affair (in which Minster of Finance Pinchas Sapir raised money from Israeli businessmen for a health, education and welfare fund), and participating in a peace conference in Bologna along with representatives from Arab countries.
