A film produced by the Israeli Film Service. The unique and diverse work of sculptor and landscape architecht Yitzhak Danziger appears on the background of landscapes that inspired him. The film presents Danziger’s special relationship with the country while avoiding direct discussion of Canaanite ideology, and while brushing over the artist’s special relationship with local Arab communities. We follow Danziger’s journey from Berlin to Jerusalem to Haifa, and observe his most important works, including “Nimrod” and “King of the Shepherds”, before exploring his work as the designer of gardens.
