A short Israeli Film Service documentary.
Colorful reefs underwater, red granite peaks towering above, and sandy wastes, strewn with wrecked armored vehicles in between. This is the Sinai desert, which was passed from hand to hand between Egypt and Israel following three wars. David Teperson, a veteran IDF reservist, remembers those wars all too well. Against the background of the tenuous security situation in the peninsula, then under Israeli control, Teperson tours the area and recounts his experiences. The film emphasizes the Egyptians’ aggressiveness during their three periods of control over Sinai, and presents the question: “Should the Egyptians return to the Sinai for the fourth time?”
