A 35 episode documentary TV series created by the Israeli Film Service. The script follows a week by week account of events in the 1948 war starting with the 1947 UN resolution on the Partition Plan for Palestine and concluding with Israel’s first Defense Forces Parade, on July 27, 1948. The riots in the country continue and claim casualties on both sides Britain continues to restrict the quota of immigration permits, which has serious consequences for Holocaust survivors, staying in DP camps in Europe The Mossad for Aliyah Bet The Mossad for illegal immigration, organizes the passage of refugees to Israels shores, but Patrols of the British Navy and Army detect most of the ships During this third period of illegal immigration, the Mossad for Aliyah Bet organized the transfer of 84,000 refugees, most of whom are deported to detention camps in Cyprus or back to displaced person camps in Germany In addition to sea passage, the Mossad for Aliya Bet organizes illegal immigration by air and land In January 1949, the British announce the termination of the detention camps in Cyprus, and the last of the refugees are released to make their way to the State of Israel.
