A co-production of the Jewish Agency, the Ministry of Foreign affairs, Keren Hayesod, and the Israeli Film Service.
A couple is debating whether they should stay in the kibbutz or leave. In a gathering of kibbutz members, they confess their misgivings: the woman complains that she does not get to see their children as much as she would like to; the man feels that the kibbutz prevents him from moving forward in life. Then comes the kibbutz secretary (theater actor Yehuda Gabai) and delivers a fiery speech, which convinces the couple to stay. The thin storyline serves as an excuse to display the life in kibbutzim to the audience.
The film, which had been shot in kibbutzim Ma’agan Michael and Ma’ayan Tzvi, was trnaslated to eight languages and designated for screening abroad.
